Science Lessons
Here is an example of an activity sheet that might be included in a unit on Astronomy.ASTRONOMY... The Most Fundamental Science (Recommended for Jr. High & up)This is an example of the crossword puzzles I often have given my students, either as a regular class assignment, or as an extra credit option for missed class, etc. Often my puzzles are as much a learning tool as a review tool. I also use humor in my clues on many occasions. This particular puzzle sticks to the basics with little "fluff". It is designed to focus on major terms and concepts often addressed in a beginning study of astronomy and space science.
If there is enough interest, I plan to develop complete lesson plans over different topics. An example might be how I teach sound waves, which would include lesson plans, demonstrations, supplies needed, vocabulary, tests, sample problems. Basically, it will contain everything you would need to teach a complete unit. Be watching here for my first unit which will give you an idea of what I may be able to offer you.
